A couple of months ago, I was contacted by Liz over at Cleo Madison asking if I would be interested in doing a little collaboration with them. I checked out the website and the background on the business. According to their website, after being frustrating in trying to find cute, modest clothes at affordable prices, Liz and her husband, Adam, decided to start their own business to help fill a gap in that niche of clothing. After perusing their website, I would have to say that Adam and Liz have done a great job of fulfilling their goal – the clothes are cute, modest and affordable (and there is FREE shipping on all orders in the US). They have a variety of fabrics, colors and styles to fit a variety of tastes and body types. Even though I am definitely not a fashion blogger – I’ve often wondered how I made it this far in life without being attacked by the “What Not to Wear” folks – I felt it important to support Cleo Madison. (I am also definitely not a model so I used the pictures from the Cleo Madison website.)
I had a difficult time choosing what clothing item I would want to sample. I really liked the Mila and the Sophia dresses. (Like the Sophia, many of their dresses have POCKETS.) I need a new dress/skirt but was hesitant to order one without trying it on so decided to choose a top. I finally narrowed my choices down to the Kelsey and the Kendall. As it turned out, the Kendall was out of stock so that made the decision easier. I ordered a Kelsey top.
I was really impressed with the top! The material was soft and comfortable. It is nice and long so you don’t have to worry about that annoying gap at the back of your waist when you squat down to hug your kid at school pick-up. The fit was true to size and I loved the little bows on the sleeves. I’ve had multiple people compliment me on it when I’ve worn it.
The owners have been very helpful in my interactions with them so definitely reach out to them if you have questions about sizing, etc. Be sure to check them out! You are sure to find some clothes that fit your needs!
