The Spirit helps us determine which work to focus on today. The Lord’s loving influence through the Holy Ghost helps us know His priority for our progression. Heeding personal revelation leads to personal progression.

Do you ever feel like a kid in a candy store, trying to decide what you want? Instead of candy, you are faced with a variety of endeavors and aspirations and the payment is time and attention.
Lately, I’ve felt a bit paralyzed to know what it is that I should be doing. A few months ago, I was on the brink of starting a business venture in my profession while also still working on writing and speaking engagements. I wasn’t sure how to balance it all. Then, I was given a new time-intensive calling and COVID-19 hit. It felt like someone shook a Boggle game and I had to start over trying to figure out what words I was trying to figure out.
Thankfully, I’ve been blessed with small nudges pushing me towards one thing or away from another. In “Christ: The Light that Shines in Darkness” Sister Sharon Eubank said, “When expectations overwhelm us, we can step back and ask Heavenly Father what to let go of. Part of our life experience is learning what not to do.” I’ve had past experiences where I have been directed to let go of something. At times it has been really difficult but I have always known that it is what the Lord would have me do and that has given me strength to move forward the next time I’m faced with a similar “let go” prompting.
When faced with difficult tasks and decisions, be sure to write down the experience. That way you will have access to your thoughts, feelings and impressions as you worked through them. That can provide comfort and strength when faced with a similar struggle.
